The one and only DJ Sol Rising is back at EDLA to kick off our March events in an elevated fashion! When he’s not touring the world with the Wanderlust festival circuit, or MC yogi, or playing international festivals, he’s producing dope downtempo music that’s perfect for a flow yoga class and now recognized and played globally. We’re lucky LA is home base for him and that Ecstatic Dance is dear to his heart. His sets are always vibrant, sexy, and celebratory, and this one is bound to be a big event. We also have the incredible powerhouse and internationally traveling embodiment facilitator, Cristi Christensen leading a powerful JourneyDance warmup!

Cristi is Fire Activator. Star Seed. Lover of Life. She is on mission to shake up the planet! A former elite-level gymnast and platform diver, Cristi trained with the US Olympic diving team as a young adult. After an injury cut her Olympic dreams short, Cristi shifted her focus to helping others heal, awaken, and transform through personal training, pilates, Core Fusion, yoga, and dance.

Cristi has the unique ability to connect heart to heart with her students inspiring them to dig deeper, play harder, and feel down into the depths of their Spirit with enthusiasm and joy. Cristi seeds her teachings through the Elements & the 7 Energy Centres in the body, creating a map to explore the full spectrum of what it is to be alive. She is the creator of Soul Fire, and the co-creator of Deep Exhale, and Kirana Yoga School. Known for her unique blend of yoga, dance, inspiration and live music, Cristi travels the globe leading workshops, retreats, teacher training, and sits on the faculty of numerous festivals and conferences worldwide.

➤ How it works:

We open with a special warmup yoga or movement class facilitated by a skilled practitioner. The opening class blends seamlessly into the the two hour freeform dance journey facilitated by our guest DJ. At the end of the DJ set we close with a sound bath or group exercise to ground and complete the experience.

Ecstatic Dance is a community gathering for people who want to express themselves freely, to connect, and to expand together.

Join us and enjoy a safe and inspiring space to dance without talking, drinking, and the nightclub vibe. This is about self-expression, freeing your mind and body, and connecting with yourself and those around you. No booze, no shoes and no chit-chat on the dance floor helps us keep it intentional. Amazing music helps us keep it all about Dance.
