The Alchemist's Kitchen Presents...
Blend your own custom botanical perfumes, using decadent, healing aromatics made of flowers, woods & roots! We will experience 20 botanical essences, and how they interact with each other. We will cover the basics of aromatherapy, materials, perfume notes, accords and blending techniques.
One hour will be dedicated to creating your own perfume oils to take home, with guidance from an experienced perfumer. Beginning & intermediate students are welcome in this fun, hands-on workshop. Bring home two 5 ml perfumes!

Irina Adam is a NY based natural perfumer and educator with a background in herbalism, ethnobotany and fine art. Inspired by cross-sensory experience, connection with land and plants, experiential learning, deep ecology, storytelling, and just plain flower crushes. Self taught since 2010, Irina trained with perfumer Mandy Aftel. She also completed over 7 years of apprenticeship with local herbalists while working in ethnobotany research at NYBG, where she gained exposure to myriad cultural and therapeutic uses of plants.
Phoenix Botanicals perfumes have been nominated finalists in the International Art & Olfaction Awards and featured in Colette Paris, Vogue France, The Dieline, Nylon, Refinery29, Vice/Broadly. Irina has led botanical perfume workshops at Traditions in Western Herbalism Conference, Flower Power, Arbor Vitae among others.
